BHA Services
The Brevard Health Alliance provides primary care medical care with board certified family practice and internal medicine physicians and advanced practice nurse practitioners. This includes health maintenance such as well child check ups, well woman care and physicals. BHA also includes chronic disease management for things such as hypertension and diabetes. BHA provides assistance to those who financially qualify for medications primarily through pharmaceutical manufacturers assistance programs.
"MAP" Medication Assistance Program
The Brevard Health Alliance has secured over $16 Million (at average wholesale price) in free medications for its patients through it's Medication Assistance program. Patients that qualify financially can receive assistance directly from the drug manufacturer. BHA processes the initial and renewal paperwork. The pharmaceutical companies require documentation of financial status, such as tax returns or pay check stubs. There is a $5 processing fee for each new and renewal application. This $5 represents less than half the actual cost to provide this service and the average qualifying patient receives free medications valued at about $140 at retail prices.
